2017 Ohio PBIS Showcase
The 2017 Ohio PBIS Bronze, Silver, and Gold Recognition with award-winning school leadership teams met on November 30th. Presenting teams will provide practical examples and resources for efficient, effective and sustained implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.
108 Ohio schools were recognized for their success in implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS is a school-wide framework shown to improve student behavior, academic achievement, and overall school climate. These 108 schools applied through their local State Support Team (SST) and earned recognition at the gold (7 schools), silver (15 schools), and bronze (86 schools) levels of distinction. Congratulations to these schools for their dedication and success!
Region 14 State Support Team, Brown County ESC and the Southern Ohio ESC were thrilled to have seven buildings achieve the Bronze award. The Bronze award is obtained by completing the application process of a 70% on the Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) for Tier I, a school profile template, and archiving artifacts as evidence of the items for Tier I. The seven buildings honored for 2017 include: Ohio Valley CTC (Adams County), North Adams Elementary (Adams County Ohio Valley Schools, Adams County), Peebles Elementary (Adams County Ohio Valley Schools, Adams County), Peebles High (Adams County Ohio Valley Schools, Adams County), Manchester Elementary (Manchester Local, Adams County), Ripley Union Lewis Huntington Elementary (Ripley Union Lewis Huntington Local, Brown County), and Greenfield Middle School (Greenfield Exempted Village Schools, Highland County).
